At Forest Hill Junior and Senior Public School, we take pride in our dynamic and inclusive School Advisory Council (SAC). Our goal is to get parents involved in their children’s education and school. The more parents understand the educational system, the better they can support their children. When our children go through the natural and desirable process of gaining independence, we support them by strengthening their school and signaling our enduring commitment to education. The parent council is a great way for parents to get involved in the school, in their children’s education and in the community as a whole. We encourage all FHPS parents to attend our SAC meetings which are on a monthly basis (except for December and March). All School Council meetings are open doors - everyone is welcome. Meetings are a great way to find out what's happening at school. Most School Council meetings consist of reports from the Principal/Vice Principal, Co-chairs, Treasurer, and Committees. Items for discussion are included on the Agenda and votes, as required, are taken by the Elected Members of the Council.
There are several ways to get involved: Become a member of the SAC, attend a SAC meeting or volunteer some of your time to help in a committee or event. With the help of parents, our school community will thrive!
